What you'll need to gather

• A device with a camera Most people use their phone. The same device handles the photos of your insurance card and your account-security set-up.
• An authenticator or biometric for sign-in security Either your phone's biometric (Face ID, Touch ID, or fingerprint) or an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, etc.). You only need one.
• Your insurance card Optional Front and back. You'll take photos with your phone — we'll pull the details automatically. If you have more than one plan, we'll prompt for the others later.
• Your emergency contact Optional One person we could notify if there were a medical emergency — usually a spouse, parent, adult child, or close friend. Their name and a phone number or email.
• Anyone you're caring for or who's in your family circle Optional Names and a contact for people you'd want represented on your record — children, aging parents, siblings, anyone you'd be a medical advocate for.
• Insurance / payer login credentials Optional If you'd like to connect your insurer (Aetna, etc.) to pull your claims directly. You can always upload a CSV later instead, or skip entirely.
